Synopsis

Hidden in the depths of the Klamath-Siskiyou mountains is a world few have seen. Complex geology, climatic conditions, and impassibly rugged river canyons have inspired some of the greatest technological feats of history — technology created by life over billions of evolutionary cycles to survive otherwise unsurvivable conditions.

This film is a window into that world.

Hidden in the depths of the Klamath-Siskiyou mountains is a world few have seen. It is known as the Galapagos of North America, and it is home to one of the world’s last and most diverse ancient coniferous forests, and a region recognized by the World Wildlife Fund as one of Earth’s 200 “most outstanding and representative areas of biodiversity.”

Complex geology, climatic conditions, and impassibly rugged river canyons have inspired some of the greatest technological feats of history here — technology created by life over billions of evolutionary cycles to survive otherwise unsurvivable conditions. This vast aggregation of ‘biome tech’ is an inestimable resource to our own future and technological development going into the coming centuries, where the health of vast cities and success of the space age will rely on industries learning and utilizing the intricate systems of water and air purification and infinite molecular recycling techniques developed by ecosystems over 3.8 billion years.

Accompanying the narration and breathtaking cinematography of this ‘symphony of life’ is a musical track of the most celebrated symphonic works of the past two centuries. Sublime orchestral compositions restore an element of adventuring through this wild Eden that is otherwise lost to the modern day camera.
